As the weather warms up in this spring, there are plenty of outdoor events you can enjoy with your dog. Many parks host “puppy playdates,” where dogs can socialize and play off-leash in a safe, controlled environment. You can also participate in dog-friendly charity walks and runs, which often have scenic routes and raise money for animal-related causes. Some communities host outdoor festivals with pet parades, dog agility courses, or even pet-friendly live music. Farmers’ markets are another great spot, as many allow dogs to join you while you shop for fresh produce. The warmer weather opens up endless opportunities to bond with your dog while enjoying the outdoors and we’ve found a some of the best in activities in Middle TN to take your dog to this season.
Keep in mind that not all dogs are well-suited to crowds. Those that enjoy being around people can have a great time at such events. Other dogs need low stress quieter activities. Do what works best for your individual dog and make sure that if you do take your pup, they are well behaved and socialized to make for a pleasant experience for all.

Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival
