Nashville residents are fortunate to have a great choice of dog parks in their city where they can find plenty of wide open space to let their furry friends romp and roam. Play time at the park can provide great exercise, entertainment, and socialization with other dogs.
Note: Dog parks are designated spaces where dogs are allowed off-leash. Most parks are pet-friendly meaning that Fido is welcome to join you for walks or runs as long as he remains on a leash.
Before heading out however, check out our tips for making it a safe day at the dog park. Also, keep the basics of dog park etiquette in mind:
Make sure your dog is up-to-date on vaccinations/flea preventative.
Have your dog wear his collar with id tag.
Keep your dog leashed when going to and from the designated dog area.
Stay with your dog and supervise; do not use it for dog-sitting while you go wandering off in other areas of the park.
Pick up after your dog.
Be sure to follow any posted rules or regulations at the specific parks; they are there to make it safe for everyone. Visit the link below for further details and any updates or changes to park hours or policies.
